Iwachu Company started in 1902. The founder is Iwashimizu.
The name of the company is the combination of his family name and cast iron in Japanese 'chutetsu'.

The shape of this teapot is inspired by the outline of the traditional Nanbugata kettle.
The surface is decorated with the classical Arare design.
Meaning hail, Arare in Japanese, that may accompany the change of season between winter and spring.
The dots make the teapot have more heat-retaining ability.
